In case you missed this year’s AWS re:Invent, we wanted to share another of our favorite sessions from the show. In a joint talk with Paul Maddox from AWS, our software engineer Alfonso Acosta walked through best practices for deploying Amazon ECS with Weave.
Alfonso described how Weave open source projects (Weave and Weave Scope) can help with networking, visualization, and control for ECS. Specifically, Weave Net creates a cloud-agnostic container network providing features like automatic DNS service discovery, encryption and multicast.
Weave Scope, on the other hand, visualizes microservices to give you maximum control. It’s done by mapping out your microservices landscape without instrumenting them, making it a simple and painless process.
