AWS re:Invent will be here before you know it. Weaveworks is a silver sponsor of the event, and we have some great presentations and booth events you won’t want to miss.

Meet the team at AWS re:Invent

Demos and prizes and people – oh my! Join Weaveworks at Booth 1140 to see an in-person demo of the newly launched Weave Cloud. An extension of your container orchestrator, Weave Cloud simplifies deployment and operation, and fully integrates with Amazon ECS. It’s a flexible, open source solution and we’re thrilled to offer a free, fully featured 60-day trial.

Weaveworks is one of five participants in the AWS passport program during the show. The other passport program participants include Alfresco, Kontena, Rancher, and Shippable. Check out the Weave Cloud demo to collect your stamp for your chance to win the $10k prize.

And don’t forget to pick up your #becauseWeaveworks t-shirts and stickers. Just promise to tell us about your latest Amazon ECS projects.

We have an impressive lineup of Weaveworks heavyweights manning the booth, including Software Engineer Alfonso Acosta, Director of Product Management Stuart Williams, Software Engineer Michael Lang, and Director of Software Engineering Bryan Boreham. If you’ve got questions about anything Weave, they’ve got answers.

Weaveworks presentations

On Thursday Dec. 1 at 5:00 p.m., Alfonso Acosta will take a break from the booth to head up the session Operations Management with ECS (CON301). He’ll talk about the infrastructure behind your ECS cluster and how to implement best practices. You’ll get to see a live deployment of a microservices-based ecommerce website that uses Weave Net and Weave Scope for container networking. Alfonso will also demonstrate how easy it is to architect and deploy an application on Amazon ECS with fewer moving parts.

Before you attend Alfonso’s presentation, our COO Mathew Lodge is presenting an action-packed 20-minute session called The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of Container Networking on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 3:15 p.m. He’ll discuss how app deployment on AWS can be simplified by possible advances in Docker container networking. We’re not looking for a showdown, but bring your questions to be part of a great discussion.
