Hear from the Weaveworks team on Prometheus and more

Alexis won’t be the only Weaveworks team member with something to say during the conference — two of our engineers will give talks covering Prometheus as well as personal projects. Both talks are Wednesday, March 29.

David Kaltschmidt, Director of Software Engineering, UI/UX, will discuss ways to build your own user interfaces for Prometheus. David’s talk, Grafana is Not Enough: DIY User Interfaces for Prometheus, will also present small UI building blocks that assist with PromQL queries to guide you to the right data faster.

Director of Software Engineering Tom Wilkie will present a distributed tracer prototype he’s developed as a personal project. During his talk, Loki: An Open Source Zipkin/Prometheus Mashup, Written in Go, Tom will discuss the advantages of using this method, which includes a consistent naming topology within Prometheus.
