AWS have created a fantastic YouTube series “My Technical Architecture” that consists of short technical videos describing innovative and interesting ways companies are leveraging AWS’ cloud architecture. We were excited to have the opportunity to participate and talk through how we do cluster monitoring at scale at Weaveworks.

Focusing purely on the Monitoring aspect of Weave Cloud, our users send us large amounts of time-series data which we host on AWS and store over a long period of time, giving our users the ability to query their data as and when they wish. So we created a deamplification system that is highly available and multi-tenant, resulting in reduced costs and increased scalability.
