We’re packing up and heading to Austin, Texas for DockerCon USA 2017. Stop by and say howdy to the Weaveworks team at booth G21, get a demo of Weave Cloud, and find out what awesome prizes we’ll be giving away during the show. Here’s a rundown of what else we have in store:

Win a CubieSwarm

At KubeCon, we deployed Kubernetes to Cubieboard2s and created Cubienetes. For DockerCon, we’re excited to announce CubieSwarm, Docker Swarm deployed to Cubieboard2s. Our Director of Software Engineering, Tom Wilkie, built CubieSwarm, and we’re giving it away.

When you stop by booth G21, tweet a selfie of yourself with CubieSwarm with the hashtags #becauseweaveworks and #cubieswarm. Then sign up for the chance to win by filling out a quick online form.

While you’re at the booth, stick around to talk to our engineering team about CubieSwarm, Docker, and Weave.

Don’t miss the talk: Prometheus with Docker Swarm

Mark your calendar. Head of Developer Experience Luke Marsden is presenting “Prometheus with Docker Swarm for application metrics and monitoring” on Tuesday, April 18 at 5:30 p.m. This will be a technical talk on just how Weaveworks got Prometheus working with Docker Swarm.

We worked with members of the Docker team, Prometheus team, and our friends at Container solutions. You’ll learn about the technical hurdles we experienced and how we overcame them. At the end, we’ll show a demonstration of how you can use this tool to monitor your applications in Swarm with Prometheus.

Birds of a feather “swarm” together

Join us April 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for our Birds of a Feather meetup, Monitoring with Prometheus. This event isn’t just for DockerCon attendees and will be open to the public. You’ll find us on the 4th floor of the convention center in room 18A.

Grab food and a beer and settle in for a jam-packed agenda, kicked off by Luke Marsden and Developer Experience Community Leader Tamao Nakahara.

Hear from Prometheus project founder Julius Volz, followed by a chat with Docker’s Justin Cormack about Prometheus service discovery on Docker Swarm.

Bring your trivia A-game, because the lucky winner (or two) of our Pub Quiz gets a copy of Susan J. Fowler’s book Production-Ready Microservices. We’ll keep the fun going at the Rancher after party with more drinks, food, and live music.

We hope to see you in Austin!

Thank you for reading our blog. We build Weave Cloud, which is a hosted add-on to your clusters. It helps you iterate faster on microservices with continuous delivery, visualization & debugging, and Prometheus monitoring to improve observability.

Try it out, join our online user group for free talks & trainings, and come and hang out with us on Slack.
