What to expect from GitOps Days:
Day 1 (May 20, Wednesday)
Focuses on the value that GitOps brings to your organization in terms of cost savings, business velocity, development velocity, security and more. We will kick off the day with brief overviews of “What is GitOps” with Alexis Richardson (Weaveworks CEO) and the next phase of the GitOps journey toward the future of modern operations with Cornelia Davis (Weaveworks CTO).
Next, Kyle Rockman (Under Armour) and Javeria Khan (Palo Alto Networks) will share their real-life experiences of both GitOps today and how they’ve expanded GitOps as a practice beyond CI/CD. They’ll be followed by a roundtable, in which guests such as Vuk Gojnic (Deutsche Telekom) and Taylor Dolezal (CNCF Ambassador) will talk about their roles as leaders and how they got excited about using GitOps to solve their most pressing business and technical challenges.
We’ll finish the day with other guests and Cornelia Davis on a deep dive of exactly how GitOps will help with the challenges of cost reduction, velocity, security, compliance, and more.
Day 2 (May 21, Thursday)
In between, we’ll have roundtables with Niraj Amin (Fidelity Investments) and Steve Wade (Mettle) on how they got their dev and platform teams trained up with GitOps tools and technologies. They’ll be followed by educational talks by Stefan Prodan (Weaveworks) and Leigh Capili (Weaveworks) on how to teach “just enough” of the core GitOps tools such as Helm, Flux, Flagger, and service meshes to your teams to get them started.
Just before Kelsey Hightower, Kyle Rockman will return for a deeper dive of his Day 1 talk and all of the ways that they’ve expanded “GitOps Everywhere!”
All talks will include Q&A and we’ll do our best to get your questions answered!
