Don’t miss our upcoming webinar on what you need to know about Kubernetes Security with speakers Liz Rice, of Aqua Security and Brice Fernandes of Weaveworks.

In this webinar we'll cover:

  • The security features in Kubernetes
  • How to get started to secure Kubernetes components and apps
  • How to build secure Kubernetes deployment pipeline

Fundamentally Kubernetes is a complex system with lots of different potential attack vectors aimed at data theft, clandestine currency mining and many other threats. Technology evangelist, Liz Rice (@lizrice ) will take us through an overview of the current state of security-related features in Kubernetes, and offer directional starting points on how to secure Kubernetes components and the applications that run on top of these Kubernetes components.

Brice Fernandes (@fractallambda), software engineer at Weaveworks will then demonstrate how you can build a secure and reliable Kubernetes deployment pipeline with GitOps best practices.

Git’s strong correctness and security guarantees, backed by the strong cryptography used to track and manage changes, as well as the ability to sign changes to prove authorship and origin is key to a secure definition of the desired state of the cluster. Brice will also show us how CI is separated from CD and is a more secure method of deploying applications to Kubernetes. In addition we will demonstrate to incorporate image scanning and briefly explore how to best prevent common Git attacks.
