Weaveworks is a key contributor to Kubernetes and the CNCF. As a Diamond Sponsor, we’re gearing up for an exciting KubeCon + CloudNativeCon in Austin. Here’s what you can expect from us next week.

Weaveworks Sessions and Demos

Wednesday Dec 6th:

Thursday, Dec 7th:

Meet The Team

We’ve been working hard with the community and our partners to make Kubernetes easier for users. We led the initial creation of Kubeadm (a tool for bootstrapping a best-practice Kubernetes cluster easily) and have an active involvement in the SIG Cluster Lifecycle and Kubernetes Community Office-Hours. Members of our Developer Experience team, Ilya Dmitrichenko (who works closely with Docker on Kubernetes for Desktop) and Lucas Käldström (2017 Top Cloud Native Ambassador Award Nominee) will be at KubeCon. You may have seen some of their recent content (Kops & Kubeadm Talk, Kubeadm v1.8 release blog, Beta Docker for Mac & Windows with Kubernetes Blog).

Visit booth #D4 and meet them and the rest of our knowledgeable team to discuss your Kubernetes requirements or challenges.

Alternatively, pre-schedule some time to have a more tailored conversation, including a hands-on demo.

Competition Time!

One lucky attendee will win our one-of-a-kind prize, called MoodyKubie.

The running cluster, comprised of x5 Cubieboard 2 with ARM A20 processors and x5 120GB SSD drives will cleverly detect what mood you’re in through it’s carefully configured emotion detection microservice running on Kubernetes. Think you can deceive it? Visit booth #D4 to give it a try and enter to win it at the end of the show!

Happy Feet!

Get your hands on some limited edition Weaveworks socks and and other freebies next week! Simply stop by booth #D4 and meet with our team.

Did we mention that we’re crazy about socks? We’ve built a microservices demo application, called The Sock Shop, that simulates the user-facing part of an e-commerce website selling socks. We use it to do testing, QA, user research and to evaluate processes for deploying to various container platforms, like Amazon ECS, Kubernetes, Mesos and, of course, Docker. It’s open-source and freely available on GitHub for you to use too!

We’re Hiring

Looking for your next gig? We could be the peanut butter to your jelly! Chat with a member of our team if you’re keen to learn more about what positions we have available.

See you in T-6 days!
